Thieves caught in the act, lead police on chase | Crime
Thieves who were caught in the act lead police on a wild chase through the city's southwest side Wednesday morning.
Police stopped by a pawn shop near S.W. 26th St. and Robinson when they saw a car full of suspects trying to break into the shop.
The suspects took off down the street throwing items from the car as they drove.
Around the area of S.W. 32nd and Indiana, one man bailed sending the car and three remaining suspects on down the road.
The car eventually crashed at S.W. 27th St and Indiana.
That's when officers began working on wrangling up those suspects.
We're told that all four suspects are in custody but police were on scene for hours after searching the car and the area for evidence.
Police say they found guns and other items in the car.
